1. Who We Are

MoodleGPT ("the Extension", "we", "us") is a browser extension developed by MGPT, based in Portugal. It provides AI-powered assistance for users of the Moodle learning management system.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

MoodleGPT does not collect, store, transfer, or process any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials;
• Your IP address or geolocation data;
• Browsing history or activity outside of Moodle pages;
• Payment information (handled entirely by our payment processor);
• Any analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics;
• Any personally identifiable information of any kind.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any other tracking mechanisms.

3. What Stays on Your Device

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser only, using the standard chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device:

You can clear all locally stored data at any time by removing the extension from your browser.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1. Google Gemini API

When you use MoodleGPT to answer a question, the question text is sent directly from your browser to the Google Gemini API using your own API key. This communication is between your browser and Google — MoodleGPT does not act as an intermediary and never sees or receives this data.

Google's handling of data sent to the Gemini API is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing it at policies.google.com/privacy.

4.2. License Verification

When the extension verifies your license key, it contacts our license server. Only the license key itself is transmitted — no personal information is included in this request.

4.3. Payment Processing

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. MoodleGPT does not receive, store, or process your payment card details at any point.

5. Chrome Web Store Compliance

This extension complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the Limited Use requirements:

• We do not sell user data to third parties;
• We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose;
• We do not use or transfer user data for creditworthiness or lending purposes;
• We do not use user data for serving advertisements.

6. Children's Privacy

MoodleGPT is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, this applies equally to all users regardless of age.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because we collect no personal data, most of these rights have no practical application. However, you may contact us at any time with questions or concerns:

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never retroactively introduce data collection practices that conflict with promises made under a prior version of this policy.
